# Cairva > Cairva is the private OTC market for AI inference. Buyers send private requests for inference capacity to authorized suppliers, negotiate versioned terms, sign a capacity agreement, and call the resulting allocation through an OpenAI-compatible API at /v1 that meters every request against the agreement. Today the only route is a sandbox route serving an open-weight model. No live commercial supply is listed yet. Every page below is plain Markdown. The same docs are on the web at https://cairva.xyz/docs and in one file at https://cairva.xyz/llms-full.txt. The API base URL is https://cairva.xyz/v1 and accepts OpenAI SDKs with a Cairva key. ## Start here - [What is Cairva](https://cairva.xyz/docs/introduction.md): Cairva is a private market for AI inference. Buyers negotiate capacity with authorized suppliers and call the agreement through an OpenAI-compatible API. - [Quickstart](https://cairva.xyz/docs/quickstart.md): Go from a private request to your first metered chat completion with an OpenAI SDK. - [How Cairva works](https://cairva.xyz/docs/how-cairva-works.md): Requests, quotes, agreements and allocations: the four objects every deal moves through, and who can see each one. ## Buying capacity - [Requests and quotes](https://cairva.xyz/docs/requests-and-quotes.md): Write a private request, choose which verified suppliers see it, and receive firm quotes built from their inventory. - [Negotiation](https://cairva.xyz/docs/negotiation.md): Counteroffers, immutable quote versions, terms hashes and how acceptance pins the exact version you reviewed. - [Agreements](https://cairva.xyz/docs/agreements.md): Countersignature, payment confirmation, activation checks, cancellation and disputes. - [Capacity classes](https://cairva.xyz/docs/capacity-classes.md): Metered allowance, reserved throughput and dedicated window: what each class promises and when it can be offered. - [Allocations](https://cairva.xyz/docs/allocations.md): The live, metered form of an agreement: quota, holds, rate limits, delivery window and states. ## API reference - [Authentication](https://cairva.xyz/docs/authentication.md): Bearer keys bound to one allocation, key formats, scopes and what each failure returns. - [Chat completions](https://cairva.xyz/docs/chat-completions.md): POST /v1/chat/completions: request fields, headers, the response and the cairva metering object. - [Streaming](https://cairva.xyz/docs/streaming.md): Server-sent events from /v1/chat/completions, the final usage chunk, disconnects and mid-stream failures. - [Models](https://cairva.xyz/docs/models.md): GET /v1/models returns the one model your key's allocation can call. - [Current allocation](https://cairva.xyz/docs/allocation-status.md): GET /v1/allocations/current: quota, usage, holds, remaining allowance, window and enforced limits. - [Usage events](https://cairva.xyz/docs/usage.md): GET /v1/usage: one metered event per request, with cursor pagination and time filters. - [Errors](https://cairva.xyz/docs/errors.md): The OpenAI error envelope, every Cairva product code, its HTTP status and what to do about it. - [Rate limits and holds](https://cairva.xyz/docs/rate-limits.md): Requests per minute, tokens per minute, concurrency, and how allowance is held before a request runs. - [OpenAI compatibility](https://cairva.xyz/docs/compatibility.md): What the gateway supports, what it rejects and what it silently ignores, before you migrate. ## Developers - [API keys](https://cairva.xyz/docs/api-keys.md): Create, rotate and revoke keys for an allocation, and keep them out of client code. - [Sandbox](https://cairva.xyz/docs/sandbox.md): The sandbox route that's open today, what's real in it and what isn't. - [SDKs](https://cairva.xyz/docs/sdks.md): Use the official OpenAI SDKs for JavaScript and Python against Cairva, including the cairva metering field. ## Suppliers - [Become a supplier](https://cairva.xyz/docs/become-a-supplier.md): Apply, get verified, and have a route attached before you list capacity. - [Inventory lots](https://cairva.xyz/docs/inventory.md): List capacity on your route, get it reviewed, and quote buyers from it. - [Delivery and metering](https://cairva.xyz/docs/delivery-and-metering.md): Route health checks, what you see about each buyer's usage, and pausing an allocation. ## Trust - [Privacy and data](https://cairva.xyz/docs/privacy-and-data.md): What Cairva stores about requests, what it doesn't, and who can see requests, quotes and usage. - [Settlement](https://cairva.xyz/docs/settlement.md): Invoices, payment confirmation by operations, and sandbox agreements that never involve money. - [Status and incidents](https://cairva.xyz/docs/status-and-incidents.md): How route health is checked and what the public status page shows. ## Reference - [Glossary](https://cairva.xyz/docs/glossary.md): Plain definitions of the terms used in Cairva and in these docs. - [FAQ](https://cairva.xyz/docs/faq.md): Short answers to the questions developers and buyers ask first. ## Optional - [All docs in one file](https://cairva.xyz/llms-full.txt): every page above, concatenated - [Status](https://cairva.xyz/status): route health and incidents - [Market](https://cairva.xyz/market): inventory lots listed by verified suppliers
